Yesterday I went for my neurology appointment, that I have cancelled about four times due to illness and fear of having a brain scan. Thankfully, I didn't have to have the dreaded MRI scan, but I do have to have a sleep study, which will take place in the next four to six weeks. I will stay in over night and the hospital will wire me up and monitor and video my sleep. This is to determine if I have sleep apnea, which is causing the massive headaches that I wake up with or whether they are migraines. Either way I will at least get help; if it's sleep apnea I will be given a CAP machine (and maybe even oxygen) and if it's daily migraine I will be started on a preventative program.
