ME & Fibromyalgia Awareness (05.05.2014) …

||||| 0 I Like It! |||||

May is the ME & Fibromyalgia Awareness Month and I was shocked and saddened when I went online to find somewhere to add my blogs that I couldn't find a single page dedicated to Awareness of these illnesses in this year 2014. So, I have decided to do my own blogs and work towards have something international next year too!

As I try to begin this blog I am aware of how much I DO NOT want write about ill-health and how much I MUST write about wellness. I believe that you are what you think, so in this case it has to be really important to think much better than illness. And, although, I agree that more research needs to be done in the area of ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia etc I also feel that there is no point in dwelling on how unwell one might feel.

In addition to this idea of thoughts influencing your wellness, I also believe that your relationships do too. However, these are inextricably linked to one another, because you will attract the kinds of friends, lovers, and acquaintances, that are a product of your thoughts. It's simple, if you want a better 'anything' you must have better thoughts.

Today I am 52 years of age and I have been unwell for over 27 years, more that half my life, BUT I have the rest of my life to live and that is exactly what I am going to do. Each day is what it is, and what you make it, and every moment is special. It is time to live, the gift of everyday that I have been given, to the full.

We are selling our beautiful home, to move into smaller and better things, we are building our own home in the Beautiful Lake District (national park). So today will be spent in pursuit of that. We will give our son's bedroom a face-lift as this is the only room that will let the house down. Life is very rosy for me and my family.

The Mindfulness for Health course that I am presently attending is making a massive difference to my wellness, read about it here.
