Affirmation: the action or process of affirming something.
Affirmations are any statements we make - negative or positive. Life is simple. What we give out, we get back. You can say or think one affirmation all day long, such as ALL IS WELL, over and over and over. Or you can have 20 and just say or write one once a day. The number of times you say an affirmation really is up to each individual person. I often say ALL IS WELL over and over when I am walking everyday just to let my body and mind know that this is what we are doing together and everything is good.
When you start to change your way of thinking your inner voice immediately reacts in one of two ways: With fear at the new thought or with love for the new thought. If you sense fear, then you need to say to yourself 'Thank you for sharing. This is a thought I will be sending you many times so get use to it!' It is like a filing cabinet and these thoughts are new folders placed in the filing cabinet.
This fear is probably what is stopping you from trying this new way of looking at things. Remember: When you plant a seed in the ground, you don’t expect to see a fully grown tree sprout up the next day!!
Keep the faith and keep on listening to your inner voice! Here is one of my favorite affirmations you can start with:
All is well. Everything is working out for my highest good. Out of this situation only good will come. I am safe.
